Carlyle identified the existing 3-storey rental building and two-storey office on Maitland Street, acquired in 2022, as a prime location for a high-density, mixed-use development. Carlyle has proposed a condominium that projects modernity while preserving history by integrating a modern cantilevered tower above the heritage property. By creating new units, the condominium addresses Toronto’s urgent need for more downtown housing, including 36 rental replacement units.
